Mike Maignan spoke to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport. The interview was released this morning in today's print edition (read here).
The French goalkeeper was asked about Zlatan Ibrahimovic and said the following: "He complimented me on the title with Lille, but he explained to me that in Italy it was quite another thing and that there was more pressure at Milan. Ibrahimovic is a an example for everyone. Like me, he gritted his teeth to hit the target as he had promised. I hope he’ll be back with us soon."
The Italian newspaper published the interview with the following headline: "Maignan: A crazy Milan, I want to bring him back to the top of europe with my idol zlatan." To which the Rossonero number 16 responded to with:
"Good interview. Great respect to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. But, we don't idolise and we don't adore anyone."
Bonne interview ✅
