It's been many months now since Alessio Romagnoli has been linked with a move away from AC Milan. Specifically, it is said that Maurizio Sarri's Lazio are in pole position to land his signature. The Rossoneri club captain's contract expires soon and witch each passing day, his future at Milanello seems unlikely.

According to Il Messaggero, the deal that should bring the AC Milan captain to the Biancocelesti is now in stand-by.
The Laziali management are not making a higher offer than the one already on the table which is set at 2.8 million euros plus bonuses. Alessio Romagnoli's agency, however, are asking for at least a net yearly wage of 3.5 million euros.
