AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni spoke to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport about the stadium project once again:
"Both the new San Siro and a facility in Sesto remain current hypotheses: nothing has yet been decided, but it is clear that the first one to enter the executive phase will be the most attractive for us. We knew that a project of this size requires a certain authorization process. It has precise modalities, even if some we hoped could already be overcome. But, it is clear that there are rules to be followed."
"San Siro has always been our first choice, we have invested a lot of money. The public debate should end by the end of September. We hope in positive terms for us. Sesto has the advantage of foreseeing a private ownership of land but in planning we are further behind."
Paolo Scaroni concluded:
"There is a master plan done by the architect Norman Foster who had imagined a small Wembley in that area. But we have not decided yet: we are already linked to Populous and in addition we have a new shareholder, Cardinale who is super stadium expert and will speak out about it. We certainly have an urgent need to have a structure suited to our ambitions."
