The Athletic's James Horncastle shared some insight on the background of the scouting process at AC Milan as the English outlet had much praise to say regarding the work process:
"Making Milan’s recruitment process even more robust was the data analysis department set up by senior football executive Hendrik Almstadt which he staffed with wunderkinds Bobby Gardiner, Ben Torvaney and Tiago Estevao."
On Geoffrey Moncada's work:
"(Theo) Hernandez’s name came recommended by Geoffrey Moncada, the former Monaco analyst, who plucked Bernardo Silva out of Benfica B and brought him to the Stade Louis II. The Francophone, Ligue 1 flavour to this Milan team is down, in no small part, to him. Moncada epitomises the club’s strategy perfectly. His eye has to be sharp, particularly these days as the big clubs around Europe are spotting talent earlier and earlier."

Pioli to The Athletic: “We always believed in the Scudetto. We saw the real Tonali this year”
