Marco Giampaolo with Sampdoria is seeking to reinforce his team in the defensive area. Now, it seems that he has set his sights on a player he is familiar with at AC Milan.

According to what is reported by La Repubblica, the Sampdoria head coach has mentioned AC Milan's Matteo Gabbia to the management of his club. He worked with him briefly at Milanello and would like to have the opportunity again in the next season.
Sampdoria do know that the Rossoneri value their own Primavera product well and that is why they are counting on the fact that they can guarantee Gabbia continuity and first team football in Serie A. A loan is being studied and they hope that they could even insert the option to buy if an agreement is found with AC Milan.
