Former AC Milan full-back Serginho spoke to Tuttosport about the Scudetto which was recently won by Stefano Pioli and his team. Here are his words:
"It's well deserved. In football you win on the pitch and in the locker room. You can see that Pioli, together with Maldini and Massara, have done a great job discovering new talents and making these kids perform at their best even in times of difficulty. Congratulations to them for what they have built. Focusing on young people and winning must have been really satisfying."
Serginho also spoke about the AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan and Dida's work:
"Clearly forgetting Donnarumma is very difficult, given that he is one of the strongest goalkeepers in the world. Maignan has a very strong personality. It is not easy to replace someone who was an idol at the club. The qualities of the Frenchman emerged also thanks to the work of Dida who in addition to having great skills and experience, has won everything with the Milan shirt. He is part of the club's history."
On Theo Hernandez:
"He proved to be a player in great form, with room for growth. In that position, we are expected to improve day by day. He can do it. I hope he can become much stronger than he is now. Now, however, he is already among the strongest full-backs in the world. And he can become the strongest ever", concluded Serginho.
