Sven Botman remains a target for AC Milan as the Rossoneri are hopeful to be able to snatch his card from French outfit Lille. However, Newcastle showing a lot more interest means that being able to secure the player's arrival will be difficult especially in trying to find an agreement with Lille as the English are offering more money.

According to what is reported by Luke Edwards, Lille will have to make a decision on the sale very soon as Newcastle have been attempting to close a deal for some time now. Here are his words:
"Lille have a decision to make on Sven Botman this week. I agree with the way Newcastle United have reacted to them driving up asking price. They either accept the £30m bid or Newcastle move on to other targets. Lloyd Kelly and Nathan Ake two others on list. There are others playing abroad."
"Botman also has a decision to make. If he starts to show displeasure with Lille he can help force the move through. Or he can hang on and hope AC Milan can come up with an acceptable bid. Newcastle suspect that they have been quoted a higher asking price than the Italians which is bonkers."
