The work is always ongoing at Casa Milan for Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara. Obviously there is the pressing matter of their own contract renewals with the club. RedBird, with Gerry Cardinale, made it clear that he wants to keep the Italian managers in charge of the mercato decisions and continue to build a winning team.

The Swede, after the end of the season which earned him another Scudetto to his resumé, has decided to have an operation on his knee for the reconstruction of the cruciate ligament and the reason is only one: he wants to continue playing.
According to what Tuttosport reports today, a meeting with Maldini and Massara is expected soon to define the definitive agreement. In fact, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will sign for another year but at very different figures than the current salary. The new contract, as per the report, will be based on a net yearly salary with a rather low fixed part: around 2 million euros and bonuses linked to personal and collective achievements during the new season.
Zlatan's relationship with the red and black faithful, however, could extend further, even if not as a player. The former Inter and Juventus player could have a managerial role with AC Milan, starting from the 2023/2024 season. But, it is still too early to speculat about that now.
