Nicolo Zaniolo, 22-year-old Italian right-winger of AS Roma, has an uncertain future. His contract actually runs out in June 2024 but the attempts of the Giallorossi directors to renew his deal seems complicated and difficult.
For this reason, Roma would be open to letting the player go as he is not considered 'untouchable' by coach José Mourinho.
As per Alfredo Pedullà to SportItalia, the capital club decided to put the young star on the market. For months now there has been talk of a possible interest in him by Juventus and Milan. The Rossoneri are looking for a winger who can also play the role of attacking midfielder or second striker if necessary.
Zaniolo is a profile who is very much appreciated by AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara. He is physical, talented and also useful for the question of squad lists as he is Italian. The only problem, though, was the financial cost.
But now, as explained by Alfredo Pedullà, AS Roma may lower their demands in the coming weeks and could even accept some technical counter parts plus cash. Here are the Italian journalist's words:
"Zaniolo is on the market and today the request is 40 million euros + 10 (in bonuses), in a few weeks Roma could lower their claims by accepting a counterpart: even 27-28 million plus with, possibly, McKennie from Juventus or Rebic from Milan."
