AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have enjoyed seeing Sandro Tonali evolve in the last season and repay their faith and trust. The club management kept him on a permanent basis (as he accepted to reduce his salary) and he finally unleashed his qualities after an initial difficult campaign on loan.

As reported by Tuttosport in today's edition, Tonali, who had cut his salary last year, received a promise from Maldini. By the end of the year he will have a longer and richer contract. He currently earns 1.4 million. The right compromise could be a new contract worth 3-3.5 million plus bonuses.
And on the pitch the feeling that Pioli, in certain matches, can give him more freedom to attack the opponent's penalty area without the ball, as happened against Lazio and Verona towards the end of the Serie A league calendar. Maybe he could even be deployed as an attacking midfielder.
