AC Milan central defender Matteo Gabbia spoke to the microphones of National Team as he spoke about his beginnings and what he hopes for in the future of his career:
"I started in my hometown, near Busto Arsizio, from there I started playing, cultivating a passion for football which then became a job. The youth teams with the national team helped me in my growth as a player because it allowed me to compare myself with talented guys and also from a social point of view with teammates. I met fantastic people."
Matteo Gabbia added:
"The first call in the senior national team was an incredible emotion. The Milan team manager told me and I didn't expect it. I was so happy and full of positive emotions, it took some time to realize, but now I'm here and it was a fantastic emotion. The blue shirt is something unique, it is an honour to wear it."
He concluded:
"I hope to have the chance to wear it (the national team's shirt) again in the future. The main goal in my future is to confirm myself in Milan and with the national team jersey, it would be a dream."
