AC Milan club captain Alessio Romagnoli is due to leave on a free transfer as, initially, an agreement could not be found with the Rossoneri due to the gap between the Rossoneri management and player's entourage in the financial aspect.
For months now, Serie A club Lazio have been linked with a move for the recent Serie A winner. The Biancocelesti have been reportedly in talks with the player's agency with the former AS Roma central defender willing to player for the team he always cheered for as a boy.
Reality, however, is different, it appears that Lazio, despite the improved salary offer of 2.8 million euros net per season, will be facing a tough competition from English club Newcastle.
According to what is reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, 4 million euros are put on the table by the Magpies. But, that is not all as Aston Villa are seemingly interested on Romagnoli.
