Italian Football Federation president Gabriele Gravina gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport's microphones as he talked about the football in Italy and the need to focus on the young talents and give them time:
"It's been several years that the Under 17, Under 19 and Under 21 teams have qualified for the European finals. We are full of talented guys who, with the same experience against the other national teams, almost always prevail. But after the age of 20, while young people from other countries find space in clubs, ours don't and get lost. Mancini told me that 90% of the 54 boys viewed could play in Serie A clubs. Patience would be needed as in the case of Sandro Tonali with AC Milan: he arrived from Brescia and in the first year, he struggled. But, they waited for him and helped him. Today, Milan and the national team got themselves a player of the highest level."

Gravina on the need for the new stadiums:
"In recent years, the desire of various clubs has emerged to equip themselves with their own infrastructures, projects that involve strong capitalisation. Cagliari, Bologna, Fiorentina, Roma, and Milan: there is excitement. I believe that the goal of Italy 2032 can be a decisive driving force. Obviously, there is a need for government intervention, some institutions such as Credito Sportivo, Cassa Depositi, Prestiti, CONI, the leagues, the federation and clubs."
