The contracts of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara expire today. Tomorrow, if they do not sign on new deals today, they will be without a club. But, work has been ongoing to find an agreement.
The question is not related at all to money. But, it is more about the operating powers within the club as the two directors want to have more independency when it comes to mercato decision without intervention of other parties in the decision-making.
Now, as per Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Paolo Maldini is inclined to say yes to a new contract offer presented to him by RedBird chief Gerry Cardinale. Contacts were established between the two parties last night.
