AC Milan's young defender, Matteo Gabbia, has not featured in many games last season with the Rossoneri and therefore, some clubs (Sampdoria above all) have shown interest in signing him. A move for the young Italian would allow him more regular playing time and also some experience. It remains to be seen, though, if the player will be let go or not.
Director of sport at Sampdoria, Daniele Faggiano, has spoken to the microphones of SportMediaset about the matter. Here are his words:
"Gabbia? He is appreciated by the whole club and not just mister Giampaolo. I have followed him for a long time. If Milan want to keep him, then it's for a good reason. We will wait a little longer than for other players."
