The defensive reinforcement for AC Milan is still on the agenda of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara this summer despite losing out on Sven Botman.
The Dutchman signed on a deal with Newcastle until June 2027 as he chose to not wait anymore for Milan who were not able to match the offer of the Premier League club made to Lille.
The Rossoneri's defence, though, may be what won Milan the league. In fact, Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu worked so well together after the injury of Simon Kjaer. But now, with the exit of Alessio Romagnoli on a free, a reinforcement may be needed to add depth.
According to what is reported by Corriere della Sera, AC Milan are still looking to recruit a defender this summer to be a rotation option always available on the bench when needed.
