The talks between AC Milan and Club Brugge are ongoing these days and we are in the 'hot' phase, reportedly. Charles De Ketelaere is the Rossoneri's priority signing of the summer and Paolo Maldini is working hard to try and secure the approval from the Belgian club.
As reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, there has been a relaunch of Milan's offer to Club Brugge. After the first offer of around 20 million euros, Maldini and Massara raised the offer and increased the pressure on the club to strike a deal soon. The figure put on the plate would still not touch 30 million, as requested by the Belgian club, but the Rossoneri are pressing to speed up the times and close the talks soon. Club Brugge remain fixed on its request of 35 million and the feeling is that it will be necessary to agree on bonuses and a possible percentage on the future resale for the operation to go through.
As for De Ketelaere, he is pushing to sign with the Serie A champions and the 7 times Champions League winners. The Belgian, for his part, has decided not to take part in the pre-season friendlies of his club: on Saturday he did not play against Copenhagen and he should do the same against Utrecht in a few days. But more importantly, Charles should also miss the Belgian Super Cup challenge.
