Mattia Caldara is set to leave AC Milan for a new experience after spending last season on loan with Venezia, who failed to salvage their season and avoid relegation. Spezia have been reported as the club that is always in the running for the Italian 28-year-old central defender.
Caldara will be joining Spezia on loan with an option to buy set at 3 million euros. In fact, and as relayed by Gianluca Di Marzio, medical examinations with Spezia should start tomorrow before the signatures on the paperwork to seal the deal.
In the last season, the former Juventus and Atalanta player has made 33 appearances between Serie A and Coppa Italia games. He played an overall of 2913 minutes, scoring one goal and registering one assist to his name.
