AC Milan's mercato is moving really slowly but the directors keep their hopes up of making important operations that should see the squad reinforced. Charles De Ketelaere, in this sense, is always the main target.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Marco Demicheli said the following:

"The AC Milan transfer market has been a long-awaited one. Origi has arrived , but Milan wants to make purchases also because the championship starts in three weeks. Inter, Juve, Rome have strengthened... De Ketelaere is the number one goal, he is a young player with international experience and is used to winning. The player wants Milan, the problem is represented by Club Brugge. Milan's offer is 30 million plus 2 -3 bonus, Club Brugge are asking for 35 million euros. A minimal distance, but the deal hasn't closed yet. they wanted to find a verbal agreement at least on the weekend but it has not yet been reached. We do not go beyond Tuesday evening, we have Tuesday as the deadline. Milan do not want to relaunch a new attempt. The figure that Milan has put on the plate is what the club believes is right. If the yes from Club Brugge arrives then De Ketelaere will be a Rossonero, otherwise other profiles will be evaluated."

AC Milan have Ziyech as alternative:

"Ziyech is liked. There have been contacts with Chelsea and his representative. Chelsea should contribute to the salary, Milan would not want to pay it all. With the money not invested on De Ketelaere, Milan would go to other operations. If De Ketelaere arrives, Tanganga arrives on loan with the buy-option. Otherwise, we go to N'dicka. There was also talk of Matar Sarr with Fabio Paratici, a midfielder of Tottenham who could be signed on loan. Then in the background is Renato Sanches, with AC Milan and PSG not having an agreement with Lille yet. Everything depends a lot on the negotiations for De Ketelaere."
