AC Milan women player Alia Guagni has made statements to the microphones of Radio Toscana about women's football and the next season. Here are her words:
"Turning professional? It is the result of a fight we waged years ago and it is a very important result for the category, but this must only be a starting point: now we need to bridge the gap with the nations that are ahead of us in the competition. Surely, the girls who will start playing football, from now on they will do it with a different mentality and perspectives compared to the environment in which we grew up."
On the new Serie A season:
"The whole level of the championship will rise. The team to beat remains Juventus, their strength is to have a united group to which they add a few targeted additions every year. We, at Milan, are building a team to be able to play for the top tiers of the standings."
On a possible return to Fiorentina, Alia Guagni said:
"For now, it is early. It is clear that Fiorentina and Florence are and will always be in my heart. My thoughts often go there. But, there is still a lot of time to think about it."
