José Mauri, former player of AC Milan as well as Parma, Empoli and Kansas City does not forget about the red and black faithful and he also revealed to GianlucaDiMarzio.com that he has visited the club earlier in the year:
"Italy? I miss coffee, pasta and pizza, especially when I was in America. However, between April and May I returned. I was in Turin at Bonucci's, in Rome at Reina's and I greeted everyone at Milanello: I took pictures with Maldini, former teammates, press office and warehouse workers, but I didn't put anything on social media because as I said before I prefer to keep these moments to myself."
But José Mauri provided one picture from his visit:

The 26-year-old midfielder added:
"I give a lot of credit to Maldini and I congratulated him in person. When I was there I saw the players very motivated and I found a much changed environment compared to when I was there. I am very happy for my teammates like Kessié, Calabria or Romagnoli, but more than anything else for the people who work behind the scenes. Nobody is happier than them for this title."
José Mauri, in the past, revealed being embarrassed to be observed by a legend like Paolo Maldini during training. In his last visit, he also took a selfie with him. But, according to Di Marzio, he did not want it to be shared publicly:
"These are private things. About Paolo, I can say that he doesn't realise how big he is and I told him. Maldini watching you at training puts pressure on you. He has great merit on the market, but only his presence in my opinion has improved everything."
José Mauri on his intention to go back to Europe at the age of 26:
"The idea is to go back to Europe, preferably to Italy because it's a championship I know and where I grew up. I talked to a couple of clubs a while ago... First of all, I want to go back to being a footballer and I am very motivated. I feel ready. Serie B would be an experience to live, and there are great teams this year."
