AC Milan secured the arrival of Charles De Ketelaere who is set to be undergoing medical visits today over the next few hours. The Belgian talent is ready for a new adventure with the red and black faithful.
According to what is reported by Tuttosport, the target for Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara now is to strengthen the team in midfield and defence. In fact, Abdou Diallo is appreciated by the champions of Italy who would like the opportunity to sign him on loan with the option to buy. He is also preferred over Japhet Tanganga, writes the newspaper in today's print edition.
Once a new defender arrives, the management will let go of Matteo Gabbia who is wanted by Serie A side Sampdoria on loan.
In the midfield department, AC Milan directors continue to dream of signing Renato Sanches and beating the competition from Paris Saint-Germain. A basic agreement is found with Lille, but the trail is difficult due to interest of the Ligue 1 champions.
The two alternatives for Renato Sanches, however, are Aston Villa's 18-year-old English midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka whose contract expires at the end of the season and Tottenham's Pape Matar Sarr who is a 19-year-old Senegalese midfielder with a contract valid until June 2026.
