The main goal in midfield for AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara has been Renato Sanches for quite some time. But, it seems that the player is finally heading to Paris Saint-Germain, who became his first choice, overtaking the champions of Italy in the race.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are still looking for a midfielder who can replace Franck Kessié who left as a free agent to FC Barcelona. The new name on the list, according to our colleagues at MilanPress.it, is Florian Grillitsch who is an Austrian defensive midfielder, 26 years old, currently still without a club after having seen his contract expire with German outfit Hoffenheim.
Brighton was reportedly interested in signing him but the negotiations collapsed in the end as the English side decided to withdraw themselves from the talks due to doubts regarding the player's character. The Austrian international in question recently decided to change representatives, moving to the 'You First' agency, the same agency that looks after the interests of the AC Milan captain Davide Calabria.
Milan Press write that the 'You First' agency has proposed the services of Florian Grillitsch to AC Milan. The relations between the parties are good but there is still no concrete answer now.
Florian Grillitsch is a physically strong midfielder, standing at 187 centimetres tall. He has a good vision of the game and skilled in recovering the ball. He always plays with two touches, a characteristic that head coach Stefano Pioli is looking for.
