The former AC Milan head coach, Alberto Zaccheroni gave an interview to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport in which he spoke about the current situation at Milan. Here are his words:
"As Pioli rightly says, this is a group, by age, at the beginning of the cycle. But at the same time, it is a team that has already won and that with an extra year of experience will be able to have greater awareness. I think of the boys: Kalulu will grow, even if he has already done divinely well, as well as the other names Tomori, Theo, Tonali, Bennacer, Leao himself. They are all on the launch pad."
Zaccheroni on Rafael Leao:
"Rafa is a talent that must be left free to express himself. Like many of the other young Rossoneri: their strength lies in being carefree, unconscious. Having kept the same team is an advantage: in addition, Pioli still manages to add unpredictability, to find new solutions to always amaze."
Zaccheroni also spoke about Yacine Adli and Charles De Ketelaere:
"They talk very well about them, and then I look at the previous ones: the technical choices, with Maldini at the top, have all been guessed right. Someone was skeptical of Kalulu and Tomori, and had to change his mind. They have a structured squad, with the possibility of rotations. They find Kjaer again they have alternatives."
