Franck Kessié joined FC Barcelona on a free contract after expiry of his deal with AC Milan. La Liga competition is set to start in a few days but right now, the Ivorian midfielder cannot still be officially registered in the squad list.

According to what is reported by ESPN, newcomers Franck Kessié and Andreas Christensen could both leave the Spanish giants for free if they are not registered before Saturday's LaLiga opener against Rayo Vallecano.
As per the source, there is a clause registered in both players' contracts that could be executed by the players to allow them to leave if their names are not officially registered in the league before the first matchday which is set to take place this Saturday.
At this point, however, it seems that there are no indication it would come to that and president Joan Laporta continues to transmit optimism that all seven new signings will be registered in time. In the worst case scenario, as per ESPN, Barcelona would communicate with the players' agents to avoid such an extreme outcome because they have until the end of the month to register signings.
