Former Lille player Renato Sanches has chosen to join Paris Saint-Germain after also having been offered a deal by the champions of Italy, AC Milan.
According to L'Equipe, the first approach of the Ligue 1 champions was with Portuguese FIFA agent Jorge Mendes who acted as a medium between the clubs. He proposed several solutions and relayed the initial 10 million euros offer to Lille, which was rejected.
The discussions were then brought up again in the following weeks by PSG director Antero Henrique. But, the intervention of club president Nasser Al Khelaifi was decisive to close the deal. Then, the operation was closed for a fee at 13 million euros plus 2 million in bonuses.
