Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara continue to test the ground for a new defender and a new midfielder to give to head coach Stefano Pioli. The schedule for the AC Milan squad, especially before the start of the World Cup will be tight and difficult and therefore, a squad with the right depth will be crucial.

Purchases, however, must be accompanied by some sales in order to make room for the new players. A few players have already left either permanently or on loan such as Léo Duarte, Mattia Caldara and Samu Castillejo as well as Daniel Maldini.
Now, another player who was linked with a move outside of Serie A is Fodé Ballo-Touré.
According to the latest news reported by Tuttosport today, Senegalese defender has received interest from Ligue 1 clubs. But, a more concrete interest arrived from Turkish side Trabzonspor.
The option to sign for Trabzonspor, however, was rejected by 25-year-old left-back Fodé Ballo-Touré who reportedly wants to remain in Milan as he wants to get another chance to prove himself to AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli.
