Atalanta have announced officially the signing of former Stade Rennais player who is 20 years old: Brandon Soppy. The French talent can play as a right-midfielder and a right-back. He played against AC Milan in the Serie A opener and could face the Rossoneri in the field again in matchday 2, but this time it would be while wearing different colours.

"Atalanta BC announces the definitive purchase from Udinese of the player Brandon Soppy.
Born on February 21, 2002 in Aubervilliers, France, he is a right winger who combines speed and explosiveness with technique: thanks to his athletic qualities he can cover the whole range. He grew up in one of the best European football schools, Rennes, with whom he made his Ligue 1 debut at the age of 18 in August 2020 in a 1-1 draw with Lille. His first games in European competition also came that season, with two appearances in the UEFA Champions League, both against Sevilla in the group stage. A year ago, he arrived in Italy among the ranks of Udinese: he closed the season with a total of thirty appearances, of which 28 in Serie A, showing flexibility and allowing a glimpse of important potential.
He wore the France jersey in the youth teams, reaching the U-17 until the semifinal in the European championship and third place in the 2019 World Cup, a competition that saw him protagonist with six full games played and two assists. Last June he made his debut with the French U20 in a friendly against Saudi Arabia.
