In today's print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, we read the following headline regarding AC Milan and their search for a defender: "Chalobah surpasses Inter. The Englishman wants the Rossoneri."
According to the newspaper, the Rossoneri are now ahead of their city rivals in the race to secure the 23-year-old's arrival. The player wants to play more and Chelsea want to let him go only if 3 million euros are paid for the loan fee which made the Nerazzurri slow down. For AC Milan, however, the transfer formula does not present any obstacles and the club will reserve the right to make offers, also asking for any discounts when and if it will be the time to do so.
Chelsea will also let go of Chalobah only if another defender arrives (Wesley Fofana is the target).
