Randy Levine, New York Yankees President, was asked by Forbes.com why he decided to invest in AC Milan football club. Here are his words:
"We have had a very long and successful relationship with RedBird and we believe we can help grow AC Milan’s brand and commercial presence."
Levine said he also liked the price for AC Milan ($1.28 billion) and the business model for the team. “I believe in what they’re doing,” he said.
As per Forbes.com: "some ideas include soccer friendlies at Yankee Stadium and showing AC Milan content on YES. English soccer powerhouse Manchester City currently has previously played games televised on YES as well as magazine-formatted content"
As per sources at Forbes, Yankee Global Enterprises will own approximately 10% of AC Milan.
