AC Milan forward, who contributed with a goal and assist in the derby yesterday, Olivier Giroud, has released an interview to Telefoot this morning. Here are his words:
"Scoring 300 goals is a source of pride, it is a good number. I hope not to stop there. I was happy to be able to do it well on a good assist from Leao. My favourite goals? The volley in France-Sweden, the overhead kick with Chelsea against Atlético and another overhead kick against Red Star. There were other good goals."
On facing his former team Chelsea in the Champions League group:
"I hope for a warm welcome. I left the club on good terms, like all the other clubs. Coming back with Milan against Chelsea is great. I think it will be a good moment."
On his physical condition, Giroud had this to say:
"I still have the motivation, the determination. I think the state of mind is important at my age. I would like to continue if my body allows me. I was discussing it with Ibra. For him it is the same, he is still hungry."
On the World Cup in Qatar this November:
"I don't know anything honestly, also because I'm not the coach. But obviously it must be a goal. With my history with France, having the chance to play a 3rd World Cup is a chance... But, the number one goal for me is the daily life in Milan, France is a bonus."
On a promise to make if he wins the World Cup with the France national team:
"If I would be World Champion for the second time, I will have to do something a little crazy", said Giroud, "Shave my beard! It's been a long time, it's been almost 8 years."
