Today, Aster Vranckx, the AC Milan 19-year-old Belgian new signing has spoken to the media in a press conference to present himself. Here are his words:
"I am at a great club, one that has made football history: so many great players have been here. Here everything is elite, even the facilities, it's something that helps me and motivates me to give more and more. I arrived here with great motivation and desire to achieve. I feel ready. I'll train as well as I can and give my all to earn this opportunity."
On his debut against Sampdoria away from home:
"They were important and difficult minutes, because we were down to 10 players. The coach gave me the right mentality, to run and help my teammates. We had to stick together, press and defend together. We had to give our lives to not concede goals, I went in with this mentality and that's what we did. I gave my best, it was a great emotion.
Vranckx on coach Stefano Pioli:
"He always tries to give me advice and help me understand how the team plays".
On the Belgian AC Milan:
"I met Saelemaekers and Origi in the national team, while Charles (De Ketelaere) I've known him for longer and I called him before coming here. All three have given me nothing but positive views."
On playing at VfL Wolfsburg under coach Van Bommel, a former Milan player:
"He was always close to me, I learnt a lot from him and his advice. It was an enriching experience."
On the youth project of AC Milan:
"One of the things that motivated me the most in coming here was seeing that there are so many young players here who are growing well, even in the Champions League, and who won last year. It was something that influenced my decision."
