After the exit of Franck Kessié from AC Milan, Ismael Bennacer has become even more important to coach Stefano Pioli. The Algerian now plays next to Sandro Tonali in the middle of the pitch in front of the defence. Now, Pioli considers him untouchable in his lineup, as pointed out by Calciomercato.com.
Like Leao, the Algerian's contract expires in June 2024. The 24-year-old right-footed star is on the agenda of renewals of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara.
As per the website mentioned above, Milan's latest offer for the new deal is set at around 3 million euros net per season. Ismael Bennacer's agent, Moussa Sissoko, wants much more than that.
Currently, the former Arsenal and Empoli star earns around 1.7 million euros net per season and he would like to earn more than double in a new deal. AC Milan management want to reward him with a significant increase in the salary, but they don't want to commit crazy wages in the negotiations. The parties involved will talk more again as they hope to reach an agreement by the end of the year.
