Jean-Pierre Papin, former AC Milan striker, spoke to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport his French compatriot who leads the Rossoneri attack, Olivier Giroud. Here are his words:
"I heard that he complained a little after the replacement with Dinamo because he would always like to play. It is a wonderful signal, it means desire, passion, hunger: it is the engine that allows him to be decisive even in 35 years old. Olivier lives on trust, he knows what he can give and how: the higher the bar is raised, the more decisive he becomes. Can he do like Ibra? Zlatan is a phenomenon to be studied. For a center forward today it is more and more difficult to keep up at a high level as he gets older. I stopped when I realized that I could not shoot as before, when I didn't jump higher than my opponents. Giroud must manage himself wisely: he must be aware that he will play less and turn this aspect in his favour. If he doesn't ask too much of his body, he will be able to maintain certain standards. Follow Pioli, who is proving to be an exceptional manager of men."
Papin on Rafael Leao:
"I agree with Paolo. Leao looks at the Chelsea squad and asks himself: 'How much space would I find as a starter?' At Milan, he is an untouchable, he knows how to express himself and knows the team-mates: staying and growing at the Rossoneri is the best choice."
Papin on Sandro Tonali:
"He is constantly growing, he has a great sense of position on the pitch. And he loves Milan: he can become the soul of the team."
