Udinese's midfielder, Lazar Samardzic, former at RB Leipzig, granted an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport microphones in which he revealed a background on his past. The player, in fact, was followed with great interest by AC Milan management. However, he decided to reject the approach of the Rossoneri club management and choose another destination for his career.
Here are the 20-year-old German attacking midfielder's words:
"We came to Milan with the whole family. We talked to Paolo Maldini, but I didn't feel like having an experience in a big city at that time. Barcelona came to my house instead. With Patrick Kluivert. But I chose Leipzig, it was an hour from home. And it was a good choice."
