AC Milan's goalkeeper, Mike Maignan, started in yesterday's match against Austria with the French national team. The shotstopper, however, had to be replaced at half-time due to a minor injury.
According to what is reported in this morning's print edition of the daily Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, Maignan had an injury to his left calf. Areola had to take his place instead.
The extent of the injury will be evaluated and understood in the coming days with more tests. But in any case, Maignan will not appear in the next game of France against Denmark.
