AC Milan, with the new ownership that is RedBird Capital Partners, focus on the theme of the new stadium. The process of even getting the green light to build one is taking so much time due to the politics in Milan and situation at the San Siro area. That is why there is the idea to move elsewhere and specifically going to the Sesto San Giovanni area.
According to what is reported by Italian journalist Stefano Donati, RedBird are indeed in negotiations with the Hines Fund (an investment firm which privately owns the Sesto area).
There have already been several talks, the stadium is a priority goal for Gerry Cardinale who is in a hurry and does not trust the timing process related to the San Siro area.
