Yesterday's win against Hellas Verona was very difficult at the Bentegodi stadium. But, three important points are what matters now as Stefano Pioli's AC Milan sit alone in third position in the Serie A standings.
The man of the match for the red and black faithful was Sandro Tonali, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport, with a rating of 7. With the same rating there is also the new signing Malick Thiaw who entered at 83rd minute and has done well by saving his team from two goas as he made crucial clearances. He also won important aerial duels thanks to his physical strength and height against Milan Djruic of Hellas Verona.
Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic followed with ratings of 6.5. Then, there is Fikayo Tomori, Brahim Diaz, Ismael Bennacer and Tommaso Pobega who earned themselves a 6 each.
AC Milan's goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu, defenders Pierre Kalulu and Theo Hernandez were shown 5.5 for their efforts last night. Bosnian midfielder Rade Krunic was also given 5.5. Same goes for Belgian centre-forward Divock Origi.
Olivier Giroud, however, with Yacine Adli had a 5 as they did not perform as many would have liked. Matteo Gabbia was also given a rating of 5. The 22-year-old Italian, though, was elected as the worst player on the pitch for AC Milan.
