On the occasion of the event "Gazzetta Sport Awards" held yesterday, AC Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis spoke about the Rossonero team which was awarded the 'club of the year' recognition. Here are his statements:
"It was a special season for all of us: winning the Scudetto after 11 years is a very important emotion for the Club and receiving this award is another honour. We did a great job, it was a team effort, on the sporting side and off the pitch."
On the target:
"We are Milan, we always want to grow, improve every day and win again. We must have this ambition. In the Champions League, we certainly aim to qualify for the round of 16. Winning both matches is our goal."
Gazidis on coach Stefano Pioli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic:
"Stefano is fundamental for this Milan and for our growth, he is a special person, he has the values of the club and is committed to helping young people grow. Ibra? He is a person with a very strong public profile, but under this mask there is a kind, intelligent person who has made this team and these young players grow."
