This morning's print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport confirm the news of the previous weeks: head coach Stefano Pioli and French striker Olivier Giroud should both renew their contracts with the AC Milan club. The two shall extend their contracts until June 2024.
As per the newspaper, the coach should put pen to paper in November but the centre-forward would do it after the World Cup competition in Qatar. The official announcement of the manager's new contract will come during the World Cup break.
Olivier Giroud is enjoying a good start to the season. The 36-year-old star has 6 goals and 2 assists in 15 appearances so far between Champions League and Serie A. His contribution and availability is appreciated by the club and that is why a renewal is very much needed. If or when he goes to the World Cup competition with the French national team, Milan will be waiting for him to return after the pariticpation with a new contract. The former Chelsea man is happy and would like to stay at Milanello.
