AC Milan's Matteo Gabbia did not leave on loan in the previous summer and instead remained at the club. This move proved to be important as he later came in handy with important performances in defence and even one goal in the Champions League registered to his name.
Tuttosport, in today's print edition, focused on the Italian centre-back and pointed out how the player's growth started from Serie C first then he returned to the Rossoneri's first team. He became a reliable option for Stefano Pioli this season. Against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League, he scored the opening goal and even cleared the ball in one chance and therefore helped keep a clean sheet.
The Italian newspaper wrote that Gabbia will continue to play more and he should even start tonight against Torino as the partner of Englishman Fikayo Tomori.
