The AC Milan club and their fans hope that the performance of Rafael Leao against Torino is just an isolated moment. Stefano Pioli sent him a very strong message by replacing him already at half-time: a signal that the coach wanted to send both to the player and to the team. Replacing the most important player in the squad was not an easy decision for the Rossoneri coach but the two missed opportunities at the beginning of the match also affected the rest of his game.

Rafael Leao's change, however, brings out another important analysis factor. Milan in the offensive zone is dependent on Rafa and when he is not in his usual top form, the Rossoneri become hardly dangerous. He is too decisive a player for the system of head coach Stefano Pioli.  The Rossoneri coach hopes to immediately see a reaction in the Champions League against RB Salzburg, as pointed out by Il Corriere dello Sport.
