AC Milan failed to bring home the three points against Cremonese tonight. Away from home, the fixture was very difficult. The Serie B promoted side defended with a low block while the Rossoneri struggled to create many opportunities especially with Rafael Leao being benched during the first half.
The right flank, which was occupied by Junior Messias struggled a lot too against a determined Cremonese who were solid at the back and relied on counter-attacks.
After 14 games, Milan have 30 points while Napoli who beat Empoli earlier have 38 points. It is too early to talk about a Scudetto race, but a gap of 8 points between the red and black side of Milano and the league leaders who are Napoli is too big. AC Milan cannot afford to make such missteps again. Next game is against Fiorentina this coming Sunday before the World Cup competition in Qatar takes place.
