Elliott sold their shares of the AC Milan football club to RedBird Capital Partners for a fee around 1.28 billion dollars, as reported by Forbes. This expensive deal makes life difficult for the rivals on the other side of the city, if their senior management are indeed looking to sell.
According to Forbes, the way RedBird scratched and clawed to put together expensive capital for AC Milan is going to make it difficult for Inter. The Nerazzurri do not look very good by comparison to their 'cousins.
In fact, the Rossoneri have announced its 2021-22 financial results recently and is in much better shape financially. The Serie A champions lost only 30 million dollars last year and have only 28 million dollars in net debt versus 354 million dollars for Inter Milan.
