There is space in La Gazzetta dello Sport dedicated to AC Milan's summer signings: Charles De Ketelaere, Divock Origi, Yacine Adli, Aster Vranckx, Malick Thiaw and Sergino Dest. The Italian newspaper explain why the transfer market campaign was "a flop".
The Rossoneri spent around 49 million euros combined for these players and it is a big figure for the club. Most of that amount was exhausted in the deal with Club Brugge to sign Charles De Ketelaere. The 21-year-old Belgian talent has yet to make any real impact with the club. He made 18 appearances so far with only 1 assist which was in matchday 1 against Bologna.
Divock Origi, on the other hand, played less than De Ketelaere due to physical problems. He has only one goal and one assist, both registered in the game against AC Monza in the Serie A.
As for Malick Thiaw, Yacine Adli, and Aster Vranckx, they were not even included in the Champions League squad list as they are "probably" not deemed ready yet by the coaching staff, adds the newspaper.
Finally, Sergino Dest, who arrived on loan with an option to buy from FC Barcelona, does not seem to have settled in well with the tactics used by the AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli.
