Ivan Gazidis will be leaving the club once his contract expires in December 5. The South African director will be replaced by Giorgio Furlani who has already been a member of the club board and a former Elliott portfolio manager in Italy.
The last match for the former Arsenal director will be against Fiorentina at the San Siro stadium tomorrow at 6 PM, Italy's time.
As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gazidis, after a farewell to the fans, club and team, he leaves with the affection of the Milan supporters, a Scudetto, and a bank transfer of over 20 million euros. It is not exactly a severance pay but a large part of it is paid to him by Elliott. The American investment fund had an agreement with Gazidis that he would earn a percentage from the profit of the club's sale, which is what happened when RedBird took over.
