AC Milan have many players who are out due to injury such as Alexis Saelemaekers, Davide Calabria, Mike Maignan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Rossoneri head coach, Stefano Pioli, as well as the rest of the club managers are hoping that they can be reinforced with the returns on these players going into the second part of the season.
Calciomercato.com has shared an update on the 31-year-old Italian full-back, Alessandro Florenzi, in particular. At the beginning of September, he underwent an operation on the proximal hamstring tendon of the left thigh. Now, he is working to return a good physical shape which would allow him to play on the pitch with the rest of his teammates.
As per the source, the former Paris Saint-Germain and AS Roma defender has targeted his return to be just in time for the Champions League round of 16 against Tottenham scheduled in February 14.
