Calcio&Finanza reports that RedBird Capital Partners, the company owned by Gerry Cardinale which took over the majority shares of AC Milan in August, has decided to invest approximately 100 million euros in "Artists Equity", a film production company born from the collaboration of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
Ben Affleck reveals it himself: "Artists Equity was conceived by Matt and I's long-standing passion for the art of storytelling and our shared desire to help creators realize their vision, as we have been lucky enough to do throughout our careers. Our goal with Artists Equity is to build a creator-centric studio that optimizes the production process with shared participation in the success of projects. We are thrilled to partner with Gerry Cardinale and the RedBird team, who have an long experience in building major large-scale platform businesses."
Gerry Cardinale commented: "Ben and Matt are two of the most talented entrepreneurs in the entertainment industry, and now we too can add to their long list of successes. The investment thesis behind Artists Equity is consistent with that of RedBird in supporting proven founders and entrepreneurs with capital based on scalable solutions to create innovative intellectual property monetization platforms", as relayed by Milannews.it.
