According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan management keeps an eye on their players who are participating in the World Cup competition in Qatar. Olivier Giroud, for one, has surely started well by scoring two goals against Australia. He equalised the number of goals scored for the national team of France by Thierry Henry (51).
As per the Italian newspaper mentioned above, the renewal of the 36-year-old Frenchman with the Rossoneri club has not yet been definitively discussed. His contract expires at the end of the season. But, the intention of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara is to keep him with a new deal.
The club directors will meet the agent of Olivier Giroud (who is Michael Manuello) after the World Cup participation. The conditions for continuing are all there with mutual affection between club and player. Milan intend to extend for a further year and Olivier will probably receive a little more than the current 3.5 million.
