AC Milan's club directors, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, have reignited their interest in Chelsea's winger Hakim Ziyech who is currently participating in the World Cup competition with Morocco in Qatar.
Ziyech has made just two starts for Chelsea this season and wants to leave Stamford Bridge, as per Nizaar Kinsella for the Evening Standard. The Rossoneri club managers were interested in securing the arrival of the former Ajax man last summer. However, a deal could not go through. The Rossoneri managers instead decided to invest the majority of their transfer budget in Club Brugge's Charles De Ketelaere.
Now, AC Milan have rekindled their interest in Ziyech after losing Alexis Saelemaekers to a long-term knee injury. The Italians are exploring a 6-month long loan deal with an option to buy. The reigning Serie A champions are also interested in the Chelsea centre-forward Armando Broja but the Blues will refuse any offers for the Albania international as he does not want to leave, concludes the source.
